Synopsis:
My name is John Thomas Settino. I was named after both of my Grandfathers. I am 22 years old (The
first edition of this page was made when I was seventeen. Boy does time fly), and I live in Glen Burnie, Maryland (If you don't know, that is
on the east coast of the United States). I grew up in Glen Burnie, and have lived in the Glen Burnie/Pasadena area of Maryland my whole life.
Life / Living:
My parents divorced when I was four, and my Dad and I moved in with my Grandparents. I lived with them for ten years before my Dad got
re-married. I was forced to move into my Step Mother's home with her three kids with whom I never
really got along, but now get along decently. Life sucked there at the time , and after two years at
Old Mill High, my bipolar had gotten the best of me. My Dad and I weren't really getting along well, so I moved out and went to live with my Mom.
After a semester at Chesapeake High, I decided that school was too hard for me (due to my constantly fluctuating mental state). I dropped out
of highschool, and got my GED in October of 2003.
Job:
I work for SAGE Dining Services in Towson, MD as a Web Developer, specializing in PHP/MySQL.
Education
I graduated from Anne Arundel Community College in the spring of 2006 with a Certificate in UNIX/Linux System Administration. I may or may
not apply these credits toward a General Education/Computer Science Associates Degree in the future.
Dating/Relationships:
I'm once again single. I'm not sure why I always post my dating status on this website. Maybe I'm trying to attract women?
Hobbies/Interests:
In my spare time, I play guitar in A Break In Chaos,
do freelance web/graphic designing and programming under the
moniker sirensound! design, co-own and operate a web/game hosting company called
VISFX Enterprises and other various things.
The Story Behind "Nion"
One night (9/15/2000) I was looking at a bottle of Iced Tea and noticed the "Nutrition Facts" label. The "tion" at the
end kind of stuck out at me... but it was missing something. I switched the "n" from the beginning of the word with the
"t" and came up with "Nion". This was 8 years ago, and I have been known as Nion ever since.
